Why Nominated: Lauren Brady has been an active volunteer in Orange County since she was 7 years old, and believes that volunteerism strengthens and unifies a city through the spirit and participation of giving.  As a senior at Azusa Pacific University’s Orange County Regional Center, Lauren has contributed over 500 service hours since starting as a freshman.  In High School, she volunteered more than 700 hours, and received the honor of being recognized as a Century member for volunteerism.

This past year, Lauren has served the community in a variety of ways, through her platform: The Spirit of Giving: Volunteerism and Community Service:

  • 4th grade classroom volunteer in Anaheim -Community Pumpkin Patch co-director (Placentia, Brea and Yorba Linda)
  • Guest reader & volunteer with Parents Together Preschool Organization (Orange)
  • Volunteer and Choreographer with the Miss Fullerton Organization
  • Donated gowns to Sister’s Closet Prom Event
  • APU student volunteer with CA Math Conference & golf event
