Congrats to Clifford McKinley for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!
Nominating Organization: Mission Viejo Police Services – OCSD
Honoree Category: Law Enforcement
Why Nominated: Cliff joined Mission Viejo’s Senior Community Activity Team in 1991 after a 39 year career as an Inspector for the Department of Agriculture. In his 22 years as Police Services volunteer, Cliff has accrued an impressive 8,338 hours of service, 731 of which were logged in 2012 alone. Cliff’s impressive hours can be attributed to his strong work ethic and “can do” attitude. He is the first call for other volunteers looking for a shift replacement, the first to fill in any blanks in the schedule, and one of the first to put his name on the list to help at special events/programs. His willingness to help continually puts him ahead of the expected program hours, often keeping him on the leader board for most hours volunteered every month. His well-rounded understanding of the program allows him to work all volunteer positions, including Patrol and Reception. Also notable are the additional hours he commits to supporting the Parent Project. His dedication and dependability in helping with this important program have garnered him the unending respect and appreciation of the Deputy facilitators who run the program. Cliff is a valued volunteer whose passion for volunteering is apparent in all he does. His ongoing support of Police Services has helped to ensure continued and seamless service to all customers. Cliff’s exemplary service and dedication to the program make him an excellent candidate for recognition.
