Congrats to Heidi Molgaard for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!
Nominating Organization: Irvine Company Apartment Communities
Honoree Category: Corporate
Why Nominated: Heidi volunteered to run and manage our Apartment Division’s “Care Committee” which is responsible for selecting, recruiting and managing 4 – 6 charitable functions each year in Orange County.
Heidi spends countless hours of her own time (this is not her main job and does not get paid anything for it) obtaining and organizing employee volunteers to attend and staff the various philanthropic activities in which the company (she) chooses to participate. She has forged good relationships with many local charitable organizations and has better connected our company to the surrounding community through our good work.
Under Heidi’s encouragement and guidance, our Division has been able to successfully collect school and toiletry supplies for teens currently enrolled with the Inspire organization. She organized a team of 45 associates plus their family and friends to participate in the Walk United event at Angels Stadium in support of Orange County United Way. Heidi also recruited a team of our vendors to join our 60 associates to help complete the first phase of renovating Canyon Acre’s group home for emotionally and physically traumatized children of OC. Heidi has also led our team to volunteer with other organizations throughout OC, such as OC Food Bank, Operation Santa Claus, and the list continues to grow….
Heidi has a deep passion for helping others and has employed her strong organizational skills to coordinate our 1,200 associates to make a difference in the lives of others in Orange County.
Orange County, our community and Irvine Company Apartment Communities are all a better place because of Heidi. I am proud to nominate her as our Volunteer Honoree.
