Honoree 2013 – Fritzi Goldberg

Congrats to Fritzi Goldberg for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!

Goldberg_FritziName:  Fritzi Goldberg

Nominating Organization:  READ/Orange County

Honoree Category:  Human & Community

Why Nominated:  After watching the film, “Stanley and Iris,” about a volunteer literacy tutor helping a man learn to read better and change his life, Fritzi decided she too wanted to help adults change their lives by learning to read better. Fritzi became a tutor with READ/OC, the adult literacy services of the Orange County Public Library in February, 2005. In 2008 she expanded her  involvement with READ/OC by joining the training team and combining her professional training experience with her passion for literacy.  Today, she continues to tutor, encourages and mentors many other volunteers and adult learners, and helps READ/OC and Friends of READ/OC with many other projects.

Please write a note of congratulations below!
