Why Nominated:  Jesse Diaz has been a member of the HBPD RSVP’s for one year.  During this time he has accomplished much and has earned the respect of his peers as being a leader and someone that will not hesitate to volunteer whenever needed.   Some of his duties include: conducting vacation house checks, removing illegally posted signs, assist with school programs and events, assist with Curb Crime (a vehicle burglary prevention program) and sit on the interview panel for new RSVP candidates.  He has helped prepare the vehicles for the 4th of July parade, and assisted with the holiday recognition luncheon held for all our volunteers.  Jess also joined the HB Neighborhood Watch Board and assists with presentations given at Block Meetings, etc.  Jess is a real professional when it comes to the RSVP’s and it shows in every task /duty he performs.  Some of the words used to describe him are ambitious, alacritous, hard working, thoughtful, and considerate.  It is an honor to have Jesse Diaz nominated as one of HBPD’s 2013 Spirit of Volunteerism Award Recipients.
