Joliffe-Miklinski_LaurenName:  Lauren Joliffe-Miklinski

Nominating Organization:  Free Wheelchair Mission

Honoree Category:  Health

Why Nominated:  Lauren Joliffe is one of those volunteers that not only personally gets involved, but also is a driving force to get others involved as well. She has served for six years on the steering committee for our largest annual fundraiser, the Magic of Mobility Gala. Lauren has also helped support our mission by serving as a strategic liaison with celebrity networks bringing awareness to people who might not otherwise know about FWM and the need for wheelchairs worldwide. Lauren is a stalwart presence at our global outreach weekends and our Run for Mobility event every Super Bowl Sunday. She has even volunteered overseas to help with the assembly and distribution of wheelchairs in Madagascar and Ecuador. Lauren’s pioneering spirit and her passion to bring Free Wheelchair Mission into the spotlight have helped give the gift of mobility to thousands of people around the world-people who, without Lauren’s advocacy, may not have received them otherwise.
