Congrats to J.J. Jauregui for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!

Why Nominated:  J.J. Jauregui is exceedingly civic minded and cares about the community.  He is the owner of Azteca Mexican Restaurant at Historical Main Street in Garden Grove. J.J. is a sitting member on the Board of Directors for the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce.  He is a recipient of the Garden Grove Small Business of the Year Award both for 2009 and 2010.  For the past decade, he has helped as a judge at the Garden Grove Strawberry Festival.  He welcomes businesses and others in the community to hold their fundraisers at his restaurant.  J.J. has selected Acacia Adult Day Services to be the beneficiary of all the funds he raises as he runs the Orange County marathons.  He has run 45 marathons, two of them for Acacia in memory of his aunt, raising over $10,000.  On May 4th, J.J will run his third full marathon for Acacia. J.J. Jauregui is always willing to help his neighbors when he can.  This very fine gentleman exemplifies the vision and mission of Acacia and the Spirit of Volunteerism.
