Congrats to Cathey Ryder for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!
Nominating Organization: Working Wardrobes
Honoree Category: Human & Community
Why Nominated: She is truly a “Go-To” advocate for Working Wardrobes and her support this year, and every year, has been priceless! Cathey began her volunteer service while working as a full-time High School Activities Director, combining her love for teaching students and engaging others in philanthropy. She has since then, contributed a total of over 4,000 volunteer hours with Working Wardrobes, has led hundreds of students in service projects and has coordinated countless donation outreach efforts. Bringing her professional talents and passion, Cathey has been instrumental in expanding our youth services curriculum. She helped pilot our first ever “Career Success Institute for Youth” as a Success Coach and continues to help train other volunteer coaches. Behind-the-scenes, she has also been highly influential in planning our annual major service events; engaging her connections and support to help provide a day of celebration, empowerment and complimentary services to 250 local adults each year! When we say that we would not be able to do the work that we do without our volunteers, we are speaking about individuals like Cathey Ryder.
