Why Nominated:  Evan first volunteers for Free Wheelchair Mission in 2012 at the Long Beach Marathon. Since then, he has been a dedicated weekly volunteer who is always willing to help in any way that he can. His heart for Free Wheelchair Mission is evident in his dedication to come in week after week.

He has helped with many tasks including: management of our warehouse, wheelchair inventory and individual wheelchair shipping procedures. These tasks are not easy and can be somewhat disorganized by nature but are tasks that are crucial to our fundraising and spreading awareness of our vision. He has made things run smoother and words do not suffice to express our gratitude for his dedication.

Above it all, he is considered a friend to everyone in the office and everyone loves when he comes in to volunteer. Evan is consistent, innovative, hardworking and a great friend to all of us. His efforts have truly made a difference in our office and those in need of a wheelchair around the world!

  1. I’ll never forget the first day you answered the FWM volunteer call and came out to help me at the Long Beach Marathon. It was a great one-day project, but little did I know that you would soon become so much more and become such an integral part of the FWM family! You’ve done wonders supporting programs and streamlining the process for our wheelchairs… not to mention that our warehouse has never looked better. I always look forward to seeing you around the office. Thanks for everything – including the bike riding encouragement. You rock!

  2. Evan – It’s amazing to me that you find the time to come into our office and complete sometimes not the most fun tasks (aka cleaning the warehouse, digging through RE, tracking down our wheelchairs, going to greyhound) despite your full-time job, being a dad of two, and keeping up with your golfing schedule! You always do these things without complaint and you very much have helped Free Wheelchair Mission improve our efficiency overall. Thank you for your dedication to what we do! We are so grateful.

  3. Thank you for your faithful service and hard work. May God bless you and your family, as you help raise people off the ground.

  4. Evan, where to start? You are always willing to jump in and be here to help out even when the tasks are mundane or tedious. Your hard work does not go unrecognized, often people ask why the warehouse is so organized and I always tell them about how amazing you are and this is on top of all your other accomplishments at home and work! You have helped lift many lives off the ground and we are so grateful for your dedication and passion. We could not do this without you! I hope today you feel blessed and honored.

  5. Mr. Ngyuen you are a wonderful man! Thank you for passion and dedication to this amazing mission. It takes a huge team to make this work possible and you certainly are a big part of this work! GRACIAS!!!!

  6. Evan- my brotha! It’s so fun to see you in the office. Your a tremendous blessing to FWM. Without you we would all be lost in a sea of wheelchairs in the warehouse. You’re the best! Thanks for all you do.

  7. Evan, Thank you so very much for your heart and passion for FWM and the people around the world who need assistance! We are so grateful for you! You are an awesome man, father, husband, warehouse guru, sportsman, etc.! It is always such a joy to chat with you and learn how you are propelling our world into space! I am also thrilled to say I met you at the LB Marathon and had the opportunity to spend time getting to know you….you rock!
