Congrats to Jolie Mclane for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!

Why Nominated:  Volunteer is being honored for her work at McFadden Intermediate School in Santa Ana.  Jolie conducts 24-week after-school programs which brings together STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) into schools and coordinates other volunteers also.  Jolie also coordinated a day for students to visit her biomedical research lab at UCI and tour the facility. In addition to RST, Jolie is a co-founder of A Hundred Tiny Hands where she has translated her PhD project into an Inventor Kit that teaches Elementary School students about STEM topics in an interactive, engaging, and social way.

  4. Congratulations Jolie! I remember the first time you volunteered. You were only 10 yrs old and volunteered to help with the Thanksgiving Day Dinner at the local church. I think you were hooked from that moment and have always been there to spread your knowledge and service to others. Don’t ever stop!
