Honoree 2015 – Rosa Villalobos

Congrats to Rosa Villalobos for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!

Name:  Rosa Villalobos

Nominating Organization:  AccessOC, Southern California

Honoree Category:  Health

Why Nominated:  “Ten years ago, Rosa began to have problems with bleeding and became anemic. She could not afford to have the surgery that would make her better, so for two years she suffered in silence. Then, Rosa was referred to AccessOC and on November 3rd, 2007 Rosa was restored to health by the wonderful professionals at St. Jude Medical Center in Fullerton.

Rosa believes that no good deed should go unrewarded. After recovering from surgery, Rosa became involved with AccessOC as a volunteer. Over the years she has volunteered at numerous Surgery Days, fundraising events, and community outreach engagements.

When asked why she gives so much to AccessOC, she responded with this simple wisdom: “People who support AccessOC are helping others survive. Those survivors will go on to help other people and their communities!”

Thank you for everything you do Rosa, you are truly a wonderful volunteer!

Please write a note of congratulations below!
