Why Nominated:  Allan White is THE ultimate volunteer. He has been donating his time to Caspers Wilderness Park for approximately 17 years, and has acquired over 1,000 hours of service at our park. Countless numbers of his “Star Party” participants claim his program has shown them astronomy sights that they have never before seen in their entire lives. His passion for the skies is unrivaled, and the community has hugely benefited from his tireless and dedicated service. He truly is an inspiration and exemplifies the “Spirit of Volunteerism”. Because of Allan’s efforts our community is gaining a greater awareness of the cosmos as well as adopting a mindfulness for the preservation of open spaces in the County of Orange.
