Why Nominated: Jeff presently serves as Assistant Scoutmaster of Troop 412 in Pacifica District and on Orange County Council’s High Adventure Team (HAT). As a HAT member, he has been an instructor for basic backpacking, winter camping, climbing, and was the zip line guide at the 2013 National Scout Jamboree at Bechtel Summit. Previously, he has served on the Friends of Scouting Committee, Boy Scout Roundtable Staff, and was Order of the Arrow Advisor to the Amimi Chapter treasurer. Jeff was Senior Patrol Leader of Troop 45 that attended the World Jamboree in Norway in 1975. Jeff earned the Eagle Rank in 1972, plus five palms, and is a life member of the National Eagle Scout Association (NESA).
In addition to Scouting, Jeff has volunteered with the Girl Scouts of America, Young Adult Program, and the PTA for both Ethan Allen Elementary and Pacific Technology School.
Jeff is an accomplished scuba diver and frequently speaks publicly on diving safety. He lives in Fountain Valley with his wife Rebekah and their children Evan, Taleah, and John-Aaron (Life Scout). Jeff is an extremely dedicated volunteer who embodies the Boy Scout oath and law. Our organization is honored to celebrate his dedication and many accomplishments in Scouting.
