John’s dedication is unmatched and in fact, he is the type of volunteer that goes home and on his own time, will create a comprehensive strategic plan in order to get the job done. He will come in early, stay late for the good of the community, the department and his fellow volunteers.

John was instrumental in getting together a steering committee of volunteers in order to establish best practices for program. He can be counted on whenever help is needed in whatever capacity the help is needed. He has worked DUI checkpoints, emergency callouts for traffic accidents, all night earthquake damage patrol, vacation checks, community events, welcome neighbor, farmer’s market, health fairs, police department open house events and anything else he is asked to do. “No” is simply not in John’s vocabulary.
