Congrats to Robyn Moses for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!

Name:  Robyn Moses

Honoree Category:  Human & Community

Why Nominated:  Robyn Moses has brought a sense of order and structure to the Disaster Action Team (DAT) program. She has worked closely with both paid and volunteer staff to develop procedures and process that will insure that all volunteers are engaged and supported within the DAT program. She has collaborated with volunteers to update the training materials for the program. She works closely with DAT Captains to insure that new members are properly trained in the field and are supported in their learning process. She takes immediate action to resolve issues and problems which help minimize confusion and internal strife.

Robyn is a positive role model for current and new volunteers. She demonstrates a high level of commitment to the organization and the DAT program. She makes herself available to respond to DAT calls when others are not available. The same with instructing course, aside from the course she willing signs up to teach, Robyn is always willing to step in and help out if an substitute instructor is needed.

  2. I am very happy to see you recognized for all of your hard work. Getting a handle on the DAT activity was/is huge. That, along with moving into and organizing two offices, simplifying the DAT process, and keeping the volunteers informed of the constant changes was a lot of work. On top of holding down a full time job, being DAT Lead, and CDO, you find time to assist clients in the field as a DAT Captain which is the true meaning of being committed to the mission. Congratulations and an enormous THANK YOU.
