Honoree 2015 – Tracy Halphide

Congrats to Tracy Halphide for being honored as an outstanding community volunteer!

Name:  Tracy Halphide

Nominating Organization:   Assistance League of Newport-Mesa

Honoree Category:  Human & Community

Why Nominated:  Tracy’s exemplary style is a true model for volunteerism. Tracy began community service as an Assisteen member of the Assistance League of Long Beach. More recently in 2010 she joined the Assistance League of Newport-Mesa. From her very first day as a member, Tracy expressed the true Spirit of Volunteerism! With her husband of twenty-five years, three amazing teenage children; and a professional career with Marriott International, Tracy combines both classic and contemporary in her remarkable lifestyle. In addition to all of her normal volunteer duties as an Assistance League member, such as working in the Thrift Shop and participating in Operation School Bell, she also became a member of the Grants & Endowments committee during first year. Members of ALNM may know Tracy best as Assisteens Coordinator for two years, leading and encouraging 150 young ladies from 7th to 12th grade to give back to their community. Currently as Webmaster, a member of the Special Event committee, “Dancing for Tomorrow’s Stars” and co-chair of the Medallion Ball, an event to honor the graduating Senior High School girls from the chapter; Tracy continues to mentor the Assisteens program. We are very fortunate to have Tracy in our organization and as our friend; her calm demeanor, sense of humor and professional expertise inspire everyone around her to do their very best as we work to serve the community.

Please write a note of congratulations below!
